Due to the faster access speed by the SSDs than their motor-driven counterparts, the computer actually runs much faster and is able to run multiple programs simultaneously without lagging. In addition, these solid state disks have a better shock tolerance than traditional hard drives; however current technology still limits them to smaller storage capacities and higher cost.
