Asus officially announces a new brother to the original Asus Eee PC, the Asus Eee PC 900 sporting a larger 8.9-inch screen, 12GB storage space and 1GB of RAM at CeBIT 2008.

Size and battery life of the Asus Eee PC 900 stays the same though, but you can be sure this new version is going to make yet another wave in the umpc market, with competitors such as the Nokia Internet tablet and the Everex Cloudbook.

Here’s a video of the Asus Eee PC 900 recorded right after press launch at CeBIT 2008. Notice the black strip running down the spine of the Eee PC, do not be bothered, it’s just the battery pack from a galaxy black coloured Eee PC.
