This crazy-looking plasma speaker clearly looks like it came out of the mad scientist’s lab. The seemingly dangerous set-up actually produces music from modulated electronic signals fed by a portable cd-player!

The sound is produced by varying the current and allowing the electric arc to complete the connection between the two metal nail-heads, in which the distance between the surrounding air particles get altered resulting in the creation of sound waves.
