At the CEATEC JAPAN 2007 show, DoCoMo displayed a concept phone that integrates with the user by providing features that promotes a healthy lifestyle.

The concept phone by DoCoMo will count the number of steps you take with its in-built pedometer, measure your total body fat percentage, and amazingly measure the bad-breath level of your mouth! How this could be done is perhaps with an instrument within the phone that measures the concentration of certain chemicals in your breath.

In Japan, the penetration level of mobile phones is much higher than broadband access. In Singapore, that seems to be the case as well. However the functionality of mobile phones here still have a bit to catch up compared to Japan and South Korea.

Clearly the Japanese love to show the world that they can come up with ingenious concepts and designs.
