Built by Italian artist Mirko Ginepro, these iPod coffee table are definitely attention grabbers. While they can’t play music, the coffee table does hold a good amount of magazines at the lower deck, while the window is good enough for looking through at a portion of the collection.

In essence, not much redesign was needed to create it but definitely the right product was chosen to be made into a piece of working furniture.

Looking at the mobile phone sprawled on the table gave me an idea; If the entire click wheel can be modified to provide wireless charging for devices, that will be absolutely awesome and functional not only for the owner but for the guests as well. Either that or transform it into a working turntable to pass food and drinks around, which wouldn’t be too shabby either.
