Facebook has become overwhelmingly hot in the recent weeks and right now there is an application out there that integrates part of Facebook into your desktop environment. The Facebook Desktop is an application that allows you to keep track of notifications happening in your Facebook page via a program installed on your computer.

The program runs on the Windows platform with Win2K, XP and Vista support. It has features such as automatic log-in, message and friend-request notifications. Being notified at the instant when you get poked also allows you react immediately to whatever’s happening.
