
The Google Nexus One mobile smartphone has been officially announced by Google. The Nexus One’s initial launch locations are in US, UK, Singapore, and Hong Kong starting from January 5th, 2010 with more operators to follow in the future.
The Nexus One mobile phone runs on the Android platform powered by a 1Ghz Snapdragon processor and 512MB RAM. Camera is rated at 5 megapixels with autofocus and 2X digital zoom. Display is a 3.7 touchscreen AMOLED with a resolution of 800×480 pixels. Internet connectivity via HSDPA 7.2Mbps and Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n) running on GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz) cellular networks.
It’s also equipped with an AGPS receiver, a digital compass and accelerometer, and the best thing is that you’ll be sure they will work with Google’s suite of online apps that are indispensable to most people now.
The Google Nexus One mobile smartphone retails for $529 without a telco plan and ships to continental US locations for free.
