Kinect Piano

openkinect piano

Here’s a cool video of a Kinect piano featuring Microsoft’s Kinect not being used in a game on the Xbox 360 console but on the PC. This hack turns the Kinect into a 3D movement tracking musical instrument that allows the user to play music on a virtual piano on practically any type of surface.

Basically the size of the virtual piano keys can be sized to be as small to fit on a desk or as large to fill the floor of an entire living room as seen in the video below; with the latter resulting in quite a bit of hopping and stamping for this duo to come up with a song.
