Pencils as we’ve known have always come in the form of solid graphite sandwiched in the middle of a piece of wood. However, a new writing instrument with a special liquid erasable ink from by Sharpie is set to change all this.
The new pencil/pen hybrid has a plastic casing unlike traditional pencils and is filled with a special liquid graphite solution that is erasable for the first three days. After three days, as the writing is exposed to air the ink becomes permanent.
While it does seem quite revolutionary, I doubt it can actually become a substitute for actual pens and be used for legal stuff like making contracts. Especially so for the initial three days, as the writing from the liquid graphite can be made to disappear like novelty invisible ink.
Here’s an interesting-looking Facebook coffee mug modeled after a Facebook status update box. Basically what the mug does is to tell everyone you need a refill coffee perpetually. Although it is unable to post a real status update on the Internet at all, it’s sure to provide people around a good chuckle when they happen to see you using it.
Maybe a genius may one day able to equip this mug with a level sensor and actually have it post an update on Facebook and even on Twitter informing the whole world that this coffee mug is running low on coffee. Meanwhile, the original version is available at Zazzle for $13.95 each.
Carpenter Dalton Ghetti has an incredible hobby somewhat complimentary to his day job as a wood craftsman. These are a bunch of sculptures that are all carved right out of wooden pencils by him.
Apart from the cool A-Z alphabet pencil sculptures, there are a couple more complex ones like the handsaw and screw. All this made possible by his creative thinking for picking pencils as a medium for his sculpting works of art.

Angels Beats is an interesting anime with a nice story and certainly one that is pretty moving, especially the awesome last episode in the series. For those that are still quite attached to the story and characters within, you’ll be delighted that these Angel Beats nendoroid figures have arrived.
The three-figure set on preorder till November 25 on Amazon Japan are available as the figurines of Yuzuru Otonashi, Kanade Tachibana (Tenshi/Angel) and Yui from the anime series.
They have certainly made these Angel Beats nendoroid figures very cute and irresistable. Maybe they’ll sell them in pairs, like Yui/Hinata and Otonashi/Tenshi in time to come.
There have also been rumors that there will be a second season of Angels Beats featuring an all-new cast, though only time will tell whether this is true. If it does come true, I hope it’ll not be as short as the first season, either 20 or 24 episodes will be much better.

The only problem is that, these filing cabinets aren’t real-life stuff but actually custom textures for CS:Source and other Source games like Half-Life 2 for 3D models of filing cabinets used within the games.
Maybe someone will actually make an exact one of these. You know, just hoping. Don’t you want one of these colorful Super Mario filing cabinets sitting around in your home too?
