Need to have a fix of WoW on the go? This Youtube video demonstrates a method that will get World of Warcraft running on the iPod Touch. Basically the idea is to use the iPod as a dummy terminal that connects to a host PC running the actual game via a WiFi network.
While the final result is an unsatisfying 3fps rate highly unsuitable for levelling your character and stuff, it’s pretty much favorable for performing other ‘administrative’ tasks such as checking mail, accepting quests and chatting with ye fellow men and the ladies.
Video of how to install and play WoW on the iPod:
It’s no secret that the Sony VAIO P netbook is made so slim and compact it can fit into pockets, thus sparking off parodies that have surfaced on the internet the same week that this product appeared during CES 2009. Here are the other computers that have tried to fit into pockets as well.

The owner of this car must be a hardcore Xbox fan to have its interior modded with an Xbox 360 theme! Check out the middle of the steering wheel that contains an embedded controller and also the dashboard themed in Xbox 360 fashion.
No idea if any of the modded parts work but I hope the driver does not actually use the controller instead of the steering wheel for controlling the vehicle.
Here’s another TF2 engineer’s dispenser, made by "Drastrich" from SteamPowered forums. While it isn’t exactly like the engineer’s dispenser PC mod featured here awhile back, it certainly has some nice touches built into it such as cup holders at the side for a couple of emergency beers and three compartments for storing more knick-knacks.
Considering that Valve has since updated the TF2 Engineer’s dispenser with the capability of being upgraded to level three, what most of us are really waiting for now is a model of a level three dispenser!
Here’s how a level 3 dispenser looks like in TF2:
Asus has come up with a preview of the Eee Keyboard at CES 2009, and that’s a compact yet fully functional computer stuffed into a keyboard shell! Apart from the cool-looking full set of QWERTY keys that pop up from the chassis, a touch-screen display is integrated into the entire set-up on the right-hand side. That means the Asus Eee keyboard can be carried around and be used just like any other portable PCs out there, or be used like a desktop PC when connected to a larger display screen.
The Eee Keyboard is also capable of displaying videos and images in HDMI when connected to a display via its HDMI ports, which allows it to play the good ol’ sidekick role to any living room home theater setup.
Currently the Eee Keyboard is only available as a preview at the event and there are no official announcements on the product specifications or the official release date of this product.

MSI has come up with a product, the X-Slim X320 due to be showcased at CES 2009. Like the MacBook Air (where it had been used unfortunately to cut cakes), it comes in a pretty similar shape and weighs in at 1.3kg, a mere 30 grams lighter.
Some leaked specs include wireless-N networking, three USB ports, running on Nvidia’s Ion platform and a battery that will last the netbook for 10 hours.
The MSI X-Slim X320 netbook slated to launch later this year is definitely one item worth checking out at CES 2009.
Apparently this modder got bored of the Asus Eee PC and decided to modify it to look as if it’s a Sony VAIO mini laptop! The modding involves sculpting some putty which had been spread across the center of an Eee PC casing. The effect looks pretty good and it can probably pass off as a Sony netbook, except for the giveaway hint of Asus Eee branding on the battery.
The above modding project was done by a Japanese guy who goes by KOM(goteking) on benheck forums, where he has also featured a couple more interesting mods from his website:
All these three mods have something in common, and that’s putting the Sony brand on products from other manufacturers. I’m just guessing that he likes Sony more.
This disguised Xbox 360 mod looks like a pretty good item for playing pranks with. Though it almost seem as if it’s nothing different from a Playstation 3 on the outside, it is in fact an Xbox 360 on the inside!

This Xbox 360 console mod uses the PS3 casing as a shell, and it does look fairly interesting. Due to the differences in the port designs of the two consoles, some modifications had to be made to make it work.
Imagine a happy Playstation 3 gamer heading out and firing up the system, only to see the Xbox 360 start screen! Will that be surprise or nightmare?
This item was put up under the name PS360 at n8bog for auction at a price starting from $100.
