Recycled Power Mac Wall Clock

recycled power mac g4 clock

This is indeed a clever and creative way to recycle a Power Mac G4 into a clock by Justin Tyler Moore. With no regard to its shape and rather bulky chassis, the entire casing was emptied of its components within and mounted right onto the wall sideways with a DIY-style clock attached right on it.

The most interesting and eye-catching feature has to be the pendulum hanging below it made from the mouse of the Power Mac itself. From the picture, it looks like the pendulum is swinging but looking at the gallery of the making of the Power Mac wall clock it’s not actually a functional part of the clock so my guess is that it doesn’t swing on its own.

Interesting way to reuse the nice looking and well-designed Power Mac’s exterior which would otherwise get thrown in the dumpster. Thumbs up for such a interesting idea.
