Never fear that this AM/FM transistor radio will ever run out of juice, for it runs on two unlimited power sources, solar energy and elbow grease!
In daytime sunlight this radio will run on solar power but in case the sun sets or an afternoon shower hits, the radio will work just fine via the hand crank.
Power conversion for the device seems to be pretty good and more reasonable than I thought, a full charge runs the radio for seven hours and a minute of hand-cranking brings the device up for thirty minutes.
While the am/fm radio looks to be taken over by personal music players in this age of technology, it still stands strong as an entertainment and informational device today.
The solar hand crank am/fm radio goes for $24.95 at usefulthings.
