Singapore’s Ban On Mass Effect Lifted

The MDA has decided to lift its ban on the much anticipated “Mass Effect” from Microsoft Game Studios. This is in consideration of a new game classification that will be put in place in January 2008.

Mass Effect Given A M18 Rating In Singapore

Before the new game classification takes over, Mass Effect is currently issued a temporary M-18 rating. This form of rating is used by the Board of Film Censors for movies, plays and pay-per-view TV programmes in Singapore that legalise individuals above the age of 18 to access content with mature themes.

Mass Effect was previously placed in the ban list by the MDA for having a lesbian love scene.
