Wireless Solar Powered Keyboard For Green Gadgeteers

This is an interesting eco-friendly keyboard launched by Buffalo. With the advancement in the efficiency of solar technology, we are constantly finding new products being powered effectively by solar energy. However this is one computer peripheral that I didn’t expect to be able to run on solar alone.

The BSKBW01SB keyboard by Buffalo Japan is a wireless keyboard powered by the sun’s rays. The solar panel is located right above the number pad and its angle can be adjusted for the best inclination to capture light.

This is a really good product for greeheads but I wonder if the keyboard would be able to convert enough juice for heavy gamers and writers. Hopefully it will work under artificial lighting conditions for night-time usage as well.
